I am very happy to be able to share my literary work with you. It has been a great effort over several years, but it has finally reached your hands.
Todas las Almas son Mías (All the Souls are Mine) tells the story of Monserrat Ontaneda and Jerónimo Ontaneda, two siblings born in Medellín.
The loss of innocence is something that comes too soon for both of them, and this cruel early realization that the weak do not survive in the world will push them to be fierce beings who seek to find some justice for their hearts. But how does someone so hurt by the world build their concept of justice? And can such judgment be judged?
Two siblings who, in the midst of anguish, manage to make their way and continue their search for a place in the world, but at what cost? Each being that touches the lives of Monserrat and Jerónimo ends up suffering from their decisions, always made from the contradiction of the thirst to survive, and at the same time the desire to disappear. This ambiguity is the constant torment for them both - wanting to continue living in a world that at the same time rubs their misery and shortcomings in their faces.

I couldn't stop until I finished it, real and powerful!!
Todas las Almas son Mías (All Souls Are Mine) grabbed me from the beginning and I couldn't put it down until I finished. Reading the story of Monserrat and Jerónimo made me feel like I was living with them in Comuna 13 and El Cartucho, with all their desperation and violence, but despite it all, as a family and with love. All the characters in this intense story have a full life of their own that you can feel in the pages. And the novel sheds light on the corruption and greed that fuel the injustice the brothers struggle with. It's a no-holds-barred depiction of the powerful life story of these people that left me emotionally impacted. What an incredible novel!

A heartbreaking and fascinating story
In this novel, María del Pilar Cárdenas takes us on a journey through the lives of complex characters whose circumstances and decisions seem to inevitably lead them to the abyss. However, amidst the pain and the historical background of life in Medellín at the end of the 20th century, love and hope also emerge.

When the painful meets the beautiful
There are many books that talk about the reality of a country like Colombia, but very few manage to capture the poetry of being born and growing up as a Latin American. A book that confronts the reader with the deepest pain, but in a way that at the same time celebrates life. The story of Monserrat and Jerónimo Ontaneda has been so beautifully conceived and written that at times it is difficult to believe that from so much agony what prevails is the beauty of feeling and living. The narration is so fluid that it almost seems like a single image that runs without stopping. One of the Latin American masterpieces of this quarter century. My congratulations to the writer for such a masterful achievement!!!!

Wonderful Novel!!
I liked everything, the narrative, the sequence, the story full of lessons for life; with the sad reality of what drugs have left for my country Colombia. This book captures you from start to finish, it shows how love can do everything or almost everything. It shows us how vital it is for everyone from resilience we can and must make this world better 🥰🥰

Reality without makeup. Real life itself to get to the profound.
For those who were not born in Colombia, but who have heard a lot about that privileged country, with information obviously affected by the lens of the media, it is like feeling we are deep inside Cali or Bogota, understanding what is clearly known, but intentionally not seen.
I am not a literary critic, but the book has the fundamental: it is read with devotion - it is impossible to stop until you finish it. It is a social and obviously political novel that goes beyond ideologies and crudely and truthfully describes the human condition.
